Christmas/Holiday Festivity:
The students make their own Christmas cards and crafts to give to the elderly in our nursing homes and our church community. There is also a Christmas store available.
Cooking Class:
We promote our culture and traditions, by holding cooking classes where the children use hands on techniques, experience and create a dessert or a typical Portuguese dish.
Parent Night:
This event takes place twice a year in January and April.
Field Trips:
We take the students on trips exploring our Portuguese heritage within our community and surrounding communities.
Closing Ceremony:
Our end of the year celebration, we acknowledge those moving on and their accomplishments.
Dia de Portugal:
The raising of the Portuguese flag in June, in both Peabody and Boston honoring the Portuguese heritage and culture.
International Festival:
We part take in our community’s International Festival every September (the Peabody International Festival). The parents and children are all involved at this event. We sell all different types of Portuguese foods and desserts at this time!
